I thought I’d throw in a little extra post this week. Lately, you may have seen lots of noise about the new image creation enhancement to ChatGPT. There has been a flood of posts about it being used to create Studio Ghibli style images.
That’s great, and it certainly does a great job, but I wanted to push it a little further.

The internet has discovered it can generate imitation Studio Ghibli art using ChatGPT, causing Hayao Miyazaki to emerge from his 27th retirement to express his disgust.
The 84-year-old animation legend, who once described AI as "an insult to life itself," was reportedly unimpressed with the flood of synthetic Ghibli-style images.
I thought I’d toss a little extra post your way this week. You’ve probably noticed the internet drowning in ChatGPT-generated images lately, especially those faux Studio Ghibli scenes that have folks screaming “so cute!” while Hayao Miyazaki silently plots revenge from his mountain retreat.
Yes, it’s impressive. Yes, it nails the vibe. But also… let’s push it a bit.
While most are busy asking ChatGPT to cough up Ghibli gardens and anime girls, I had a different idea rattling around in my skull for a while now: what if AI could conjure a table of real legends, sharing drinks like old friends? Basically, a pub crawl through the afterlife.
I went to my go-to generator, Midjourney. Individually? Sure, it can render Bowie’s cheekbones or Amy’s eyeliner like a champ. But ask it to group them and suddenly you’ve got Noel Gallagher photobombing Rod Stewart’s uncle at a cosplay convention.
Total chaos. Fun chaos. But not the chaos I wanted.
So I turned to ChatGPT’s new enhanced image feature. And oh boy - it got exactly what I meant. Here's what it threw my way…
